We are grateful to the Friedman and Rubinstein family, and the many congregants who are supporting these services.
We invite you to help support our Musical Shabbat services.Musical Shabbat
Blending traditional practices with musical sensibilities
Temple Har Zion’s Musical Shabbat has become a celebrated and anticipated event on the synagogue’s monthly calendar.
Our davening team brings its soulful melodies, prayer, and skills to Har Zion to rejoice in Hassidic, Sephardic, and other melodies — encouraging outside participation and welcoming all to their inviting spiritual atmosphere.

Friday Night Musical Shabbat
Once a month, the davening team meets for our lively Friday night musical services. Participants sing, dance and revel in lively renditions of popular religious tunes. These services have been called extraordinary by our guests and commended for capturing Hassidic joy. They are the perfect way to start Shabbat.

Saturday Morning Musical Shabbat
Since May 2022, our davening team has also led a monthly Shabbat morning musical service to bring uplifting and spiritual melodies to the traditional liturgy, and to help our guests find Shabbat shalom, the peace of Shabbat and sing the praise of creation as told in the morning liturgy.
