Kulanu (Caring for Members)
Volunteers provide assistance to fellow members in need of help due to illness, a new baby, a death in the family, or other circumstances.
Social Action Activities
Volunteers participate in various activities of benefit to our congregation, the extended Jewish community, and the greater community.
Social Engagements
Volunteers serve as door greeters during Shabbat, holidays, and other events.
Office Assistance
Help with office functions during religious school, sorting files and materials at the Temple, and distributing fliers and posters locally.
Cooking/Meal Assistance
Help distribute food to the community in need, assist with meal trains, and provide assistance for Kiddush and other special events.
Special Event Assistance
Volunteers help set up and staff events, pick up donations, and help with deliveries for Yom HaShoah.
Cemetery Maintenance
Volunteers assist with clean-up and light maintenance at cemeteries.
Professional Service Volunteer
You have professional skills that could help our community such as photography, writing, or other skill and are interested in donating time.
Adult Education/Jewish Journeys Committee
Collaborate with the education director and rabbi helping to develop adult education programs and events for all age groups.
Finance Committee
Help prepare and review the finances of the congregation - including organizing the annual budget.
Building and Administration
Collaborate with the executive director to help handle administrative matters and supervise building and grounds maintenance, and cemetery oversight.
Education
Work with the education director to oversee the Koven Religious School, USY, Kadima, and Machar youth groups.
Preschool
Assist with the operation and promotion of the Temple Preschool, and work with the director to create a fun and stimulating environment for children.
Fundraising
Help coordinate congregation fundraising activities.
Governance
Identify and mentor potential lay leaders and assist with board training.
Membership
Work with clergy and staff to develop marketing and events for prospective members and welcome and integrate new members into the community.
Programming
Work with clergy and staff to organize programs, the annual retreat (Kallah), and help coordinate special events and holiday celebrations.
Policy
This committee is responsible for reviewing existing temple policies, recommending new policies, and maintenance of a policy manual.
Social Action
Assist members in times of need, promote sustainability efforts, support rites relating to death and mourning, and Israel advocacy.
