September brings shorter days, cooler nights, the start of school, and … the High Holy Days season. At Har Zion, this season begins with the last month in the Jewish calendar, Elul, which, this year, coincides with the September. So the September Herald focuses on Elul, the High Holy Days, and changes that the fall brings.

President Mike Weinstein gives us security updates and Education Director David Schwartz talks about a holiday that’s all about food and one that is without food.
